From Brazil with Love

I don’t know if you’ve been following my tweets, but our team from Growing Leaders just returned from four days in Brazil.

It was four days of food, relationships, hugs and training. We partnered with an organization called the University of Family. They are committed to building healthy families and equipping the next generation to be leaders.

Needless to say—we fit right in.

We are forming a partnership with U of F because we share so many of the same values and vision:

  1. They are focused on the next generation. During our time, we were amazed at the number of young people, youth, students and children attending the conference.
  2. They are committed to healthy relationships. They believe all good training occurs through mentoring relationships. So parents, youth workers, teachers and pastors were present to learn and grow.
  3. They are committed to equipping leaders. The senior generation isn’t grasping at their own leadership, holding on to whatever power they possess. They are freely but wisely passing on authority to the young.
  4. They are determined to bless the emerging generation. The entire time was about passing on the blessing to kids. It was about making sure the children, youth and university students have the tools they need to succeed.

We introduced “Habitudes—Images That Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes.” They have been translated into Portuguese, but many of these leaders had never experienced them before. The people loved them because they are a story-telling culture in Brazil and they love images. It seemed to be a perfect fit.

We spoke to over 2,500 leaders in the conference. We hope to cultivate a continuing relationship with this organization and the great people of Brazil.

Thanks for your support. We continue to be committed to equipping 1% of the world’s population who is under 25 years old.

Won’t you join us?
