Accountant

 

Purpose Statement:

Turn everyday students into growing leaders by providing day-to-day accounting activities to support Growing Leaders and The Growing Leaders Initiative.

Job Description Overview:

The Accounting Manager completes day-to-day accounting activities needed to support each department of Growing Leaders and The Growing Leaders Initiative and provides financial information and reports to management by researching and analyzing data.

Reports to:

Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute quality bookkeeping services on a daily basis
  • Record all deposit activity from various merchant account and properly allocate to the appropriate accounts and classes
  • Maintain accounts payable and ensure timely payments to all vendors
  • Create invoices for partners in collaboration with the sales team
  • Monitor accounts receivable and implement procedures to ensure collection of all payments
  • Process month and year end reconciliation of all accounts
  • Process expense reports and reimbursement requests
  • Produce financial report on a monthly basis for review
  • Assist the Vice President with maintenance of a 12-week cash flow projection
  • Support the Director of Operations and contracted CPA in preparation of annual tax information
  • Establish and maintain financial files and records to document transaction in a cloud-based solution
  • Additional projects and administrative support for the Director of Operations and Vice President as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is a related field is preferred.
  • Proven working experience as an Accountant or advanced level Bookkeeper.  (A minimum of five years is preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office (especially Excel), accounting software and databases.  (QuickBooks is preferred)
  • Ability to manipulate and process large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with a high volume of monthly sales transactions
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Work Schedule:

  • This part-time position is based in the Growing Leaders office in Norcross, GA averaging 25 hours per week. Office hours are 8:30 to 5:00.

Development and Event Coordinator

 

Purpose Statement:

Turn ordinary students into growing leaders by providing administrative and event planning coordination for The Growing Leaders Initiative team.

Job Description Overview:

The Development and Event Coordinator offers administrative support to The Growing Leaders Initiative team and promotes the brand image of the Initiative by representing the organization internally and externally.  This position is also heavily focused on coordinating and planning numerous donor cultivation events.

Reports to:

Director of Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the Director of Development with correspondence, scheduling, donor relations and board of director related tasks
  • Assist with the preparation of board meeting materials and reports
  • Provide support to the board of directors as needed
  • Assist with donor and grant research for individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors
  • Assist with and manage donor related print, online and social media materials and communications
  • Assist with the design and production of online and print development related materials
  • Manage and track donor related correspondence
  • Assist with tracking, entering and maintaining the donor database
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on development activities
  • Arrange detailed travel arrangements for Initiative staff and grant recipients as needed.
  • Schedule, organize and provide logistical support for all fundraising events including venue selection, space design, catering, and AV equipment
  • Coordinate the development of the agenda and program materials for Initiative events.
  • Assist with Initiative grant recipient site visits to assess program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven administrative support and event planning experience
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and communicate effectively under pressure
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage staff with documented supervisory experience
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically with an Apple computer platform

Work Schedule:

  • This position is based in the Growing Leaders Initiative office in Norcross, GA. Office hours are 8:30 to 5:00. The position requires some work in the evenings or on weekends for certain events. Some travel is expected of this position potentially averaging one trip per month, however more travel will be required in the Spring.

Inside Sales Specialist

 

Purpose Statement:

Turn ordinary students into growing leaders by sourcing new partnership opportunities through the cultivation of new relationships to meet our ambitious growth goals.

Job Description Overview:

The Inside Sales Specialist plays a fundamental role in acquiring and cultivating new partnerships through inbound and outbound sales activities including phone calls, market research, development of sales presentations and relationship building.

Reports to:

Vice President

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand partner needs and requirements for young leader development
  • Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends
  • Qualify lead opportunities for the appropriate Director of Partnerships for further development and closure
  • Research prospective markets and key contacts and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand a database of prospects for each target audience
  • Build a pipeline and close new partnerships by answer phone and email inquiries and documenting information
  • Develop deeper partnerships by checking a partner’s buying history and suggesting related and new events and processes
  • Continually update job knowledge by studying new event and product descriptions
  • Create and perform effective online demos of The Habitudes System to prospects

Qualifications:

  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving sales goals
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with InfusionSoft.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of the Growing Leaders brand is desirable
  • Proficiency with an Apple computer platform

Marketing Graphic Designer

Purpose Statement:

To turn ordinary students into growing leaders who will transform society by creating visuals for both print and digital media that represent the organization's products and services to those who are impacting the next generation.

Reports to:  Director of Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Support and help drive the visual aesthetic for the Growing Leaders brands.
  • Design marketing materials and content in print, digital and video formats.
  • Edit and format product imagery for placement on the Growing Leaders’ website, email campaigns and advertising materials.
  • Recommend, implement and help maintain web site design and content.
  • Assist with video production and styling for photo shoots.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategy and tactics including event planning, advertising, messaging and more.
  • Coordinate conference and trade shows logistics where Growing Leaders exhibits to promote marketing goals and strengthen brand identity.
  • Serve as brand ambassador for the organization at conferences, trade shows and events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design
  • Mastery of InDesign, Photoshop, and other components of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • High level of proficiency of print processes including layouts, file types, etc.
  • A bachelor's degree in fine arts, marketing, advertising, or communications. (Or potentially equivalent education and experience)
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects while remaining flexible through numerous revisions with constant attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with a Mac-based computer platform

Work Schedule:

  • Regular office hours, Monday–Friday with nights and weekend for events as needed
  • Salaried position that averages 40 hours per week
