Help Georgia Schools
We are excited about a unique sponsorship opportunity that allows businesses and individuals to provide leadership and soft skills training for high school students throughout the state of Georgia.
Growing Leaders has been invited into a strategic partnership with the Georgia Department of Education. Under the direction of Dr. John Barge, the Georgia State School Superintendent, our goal is to ultimately work with the faculty and staff in all of the 336 Georgia public high schools to develop a premier leadership program. This would impact approximately 474,000 students and help to create a thriving leadership culture on each school campus.
Our first step is to launch a pilot program in 32 schools across the state of Georgia during the 2012-2013 school year. Through a variety of training events and resources, including the Habitudes curriculum (using images, conversations and experiences) we have an opportunity to challenge and motivate these students to think and act like leaders and be ready for “real life” outside of the classroom.
Due to the current economy, many school face financial struggles. That is why we need YOUR help. Growing Leaders is raising funds to provide the Pilot Program in the 32 schools.
If you would like to help put Habitudes in Georgia high schools, please contact our Development Coordinator:
